Women’s Community House (WCH) is the largest high-security emergency shelter for abused women and their children in Canada and one of the largest in North America. WCH operates 2 shelters and a 25-unit Second Stage rent-geared-to-income apartment building.

Information about the shelter
Women’s Community House provides two high-security emergency shelters, open 24 hours a day, 7-days a week as well as the second stage housing apartment building. The 24-hour helpline is staffed by trained counselors and available for women in crisis 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Walk-in counseling services and transitional outreach services are also available to anyone in need.
